Hoy, en Ecuador, se celebra el “Día del Cine Ecuatoriano”, una jornada dedicado al denominado séptimo arte.
Es un “Día de” oficial, habiendo sido determinado por el Ministerio de Educación. La elección de la fecha deriva del aniversario y recuerdo del 7 de Agosto de 1924, cuando comenzó formalmente en Guayaquil la actividad cinematográfica ecuatoriana con el estreno del primer largometraje de cine mudo titulado ‘El Tesoro de Atahualpa’ dirigido por Augusto San Miguel.
ojo ese screenshot no es de la película de San Miguel, sino de una mexicana de los 60.
